About

My name is Nicole Jade Burt, and I am a half Italian, half English girl, currently studying an Integrated Masters in Marine Biology at the University of Southampton; and working as a lifestyle and travel blogger in my spare time.
As you have probably figured out by the contrast of categories on my blog, I have so many passions and goals that I want to achieve here on this Earth! My biggest desire is to help animals and the environment, which is why I value conscious and plant-based living so much.
With this purpose of mine, combined with my endless fascination of the sea and the complexities of marine plants and animals, I have developed a longing to help in marine conservation. Consequently, this is why I have a whole section of my blog devoted to marine biology, which I hope that you will find just as interesting as I do! I also hope that I will ignite a desire in you to help in marine conservation, from living sustainably, to attending the occasional beach clean; to volunteering with a marine conservation charity; to even potentially studying marine biology!
Whilst I would consider myself to be very studious, and I do truly enjoy immersing myself in scientific papers and reading my degree, I also have a tremendous desire to travel. Not only is this because I enjoy the aesthetic of nature, architecture, interior design, art, and people, but travelling allows me to experience a variety of different cultures and to learn outside of the classroom, which is incomparable to the type of education in academia.
My aim with this blog is to create a positive, creative, and informative space, where I can share my passions, in the hope that I will inspire others to not only travel the world, but to also help animals and the environment.
